Corrections

When we find a mistake in a text, an introduction or a modern-English rendering, we fix it and record it here: the date, the work, the section, and what was wrong. Nothing is changed quietly.

No corrections have been logged yet. The first entry will appear here with its date.

How we check

The original texts are public-domain nineteenth-century translations, extracted from digital copies. The introductions and the modern-English renderings are newer work and are the most likely places for errors. The renderings are AI drafts, labelled as such, and the original text is always beside them. If a rendering and the original differ, trust the original.

Report a mistake

Spotted something wrong? A contact address will be added at launch. When it is, say which work and section, and what you think it should say.
